1. What's this web site about?
   Well, All Things Rat. :) This webpage was originally created by Shael (aka Ratlover) as her contribution to the X-Files online community, and a tribute to her favorite character Alex Krycek, played by the talented Nicholas Lea. The 'rat' in the website title refers to his nickname, Ratboy.
   
2. Are you affiliated with The X-Files, TenThirteen Productions, or the FOX Network?
   Nope. Alex Krycek and all the X-Files characters are owned by TenThirteen Productions and the FOX Network. No copyright infringement intended. I do this as a hobby, not to make money.
   
3. Is this a slash site?
   It is not a slash (stories that promote a same sex romantic paring - usually explicit) site per se. The majority of fanfiction involving Krycek I have seen out on the net tends to be slash, but gen and heterosexual stories are more than welcome here.
   
4. What are the requirements to get archived on this site?
   There is one major requirement -
       * It must feature Alex Krycek as a major character
   
5. So why don't you have any Nicholas Lea/Victor Mansfield/Mac 27/Cory Raines/Phillip Padget/Anson Green/Insert-Any-Character-NL-Has-Played-Here information on your site?
   There are a lot of Nicholas Lea fan sites out there, many very well done. I do not have the time to replicate their information, or hunt down my own content, so I am focusing on Alex Krycek only. For some of those links, check out the Links page.
   
6. What about Actorfic?
   While not wanting to get into a debate over freedom of speech, I have a personal problem with reading Actorfic (fanfiction centering around a real life person - i.e. a Nicolas Lea/Mitch Pileggi story vs. an Alex Krycek/Walter Skinner story). I won't be archiving it here.
   
7. Where do you get your materials from?
   In the past, Shael found stories from the various lists she was a member of. I've opened up the archive to direct submissions by authors and I'll archive any Krycek-centric story posted to the various XF lists I'm on that have an archive note for All Things Rat specifically or an archive anywhere note.
   
8. I'm not a member of any of XF lists. How can I get my story archived here?
   You can submit it directly to the archive.
   
9. Where do you get the pictures from?
   Shael got the pictures from other X-File websites and her trusty scanner. If you've got Krycek pictures you'd like included on this site, contact me.
   
10. What about the sound files?
    Shael made those herself. If you've got Krycek sound files in wav format that you'd like included on this site, contact me.
    
11. Do you have any other webpages?
    I run The Basement, the primary X-Files slash archive, and Vox Populli, where I host a bunch of websites, some slash, some for friends and some of my own. Shael also passed on The Slipper Archive to me, an X-Files slash relationship fiction archive, all rated PG-13 or less.
    
12. Sometimes this archive is updated once a week, sometimes several weeks pass before anything new gets added? What gives?
    I'm only one woman! :) Yep, I'm the only one maintaining the archive at this time. I try to do updates as often as possible, just depends on real life.
